The BMW 3 series is the most popular of the BMW family. All models from the modest 318 to the top of the range BMW M3 are shod with very wide tyres, sometimes these tyres go way beyond the car's capabilities. The 318 especially is fitted with tyres that perform way beyond the power produced by the car. The wide tyres are there for styling reasons more than anything else, the exceptions being the 330 / 335 and the M3. These models produce enough power to warrant these wide, low profile tyres.
